Award-winning documentary One hour of this four-hour-long doc will be playing every Monday this month at 7:00 PM


“Women in Congress” is a documentary public affairs presentation produced by Dr. Robert Franklin, KNCT-FM General Manager. The documentary takes a historical look at the role of women in the political process from the election of Jeannette Rankin, a Representative from Montana in 1916, to Shirley Chisholm's election as the Democratic Representative from New York in 1968. The documentary explored the plight of female members of the United States Congress in the Republican and Democratic Parties.

Women at the top of the field in classical music pay tribute to the amazing women who inspired them in their careers. Luminaries, like multiple Grammy Award winner JoAnn Falletta, BBC Proms' soloist Jamie Barton, The Marvels' composer Laura Karpman, and many more, will introduce music by composers like Florence Price, Clara Schumann, and Lucija Garuta. As well as performances from Isatah Kanneh-Mason, Marian Anderson, and even Ella Fitzgerald.
